Rank Belt Testing

The purpose of a belt test is to assess a practitioner's skills and knowledge, provide a measure of progress through rank advancement, set goals for improvement, offer feedback for learning, manage stress, uphold cultural traditions, and foster commitment and dedication to martial arts training.

Promotion of rank and a new belt is given when a student successfully passes the test.

  3. Exemplary physical skills and a profound understanding of the art.
  4. Outstanding achievements in shiai (tournaments) – excelling in both kata and kumite.
